Price Faces Possible House Ethics Investigation on Wall Street Vote

WASHINGTON -- House investigators recommended Tuesday that Rep. Tom Price, (R) GA 6th District, and two other lawmakers be further investigated to determine whether political contributions were improperly linked to votes on a huge financial overhaul bill.

The independent House Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) recommended that the member-run House ethics committee pursue potential rules violations by Price and fellow Republican John Campbell of California, as well as Democrat Joseph Crowley of New York.

The ethics office recommended no further investigation of five other lawmakers in the same probe. They are Democratic Reps. Earl Pomeroy of North Dakota and Mel Watt of North Carolina; and Republicans Jeb Hensarling of Texas, Chris Lee of New York, and Frank Lucas of Oklahoma.

Ethics investigators are trying to find out if Price took money from Wall Street in Dec., 2009, to vote against the Wall Street reforms.

Try It Review: Aqua Sand

ALPHARETTA -- Ruthie Bodeep is your typical nine year-old that enjoys going to school and playing with friends.  "I play on the computer and I do a lot of electronics but I also go outside," she said.

But we found out that she's also a big fan of "Try It Before You Buy It".   What does she like about it?  "It's just seeing the products and seeing what their answer is that I really enjoy," Ruthie told us.

So we asked Ruthie to check out the Aqua Sand activity set by Spindirect.  It claims it has magic sand that never gets wet.

The $25 Mermaid Island set comes with a tank and two bottles of Aqua Sand.

Just add water to the tank and begin decorating with Aqua Sand.  At first the sand just floated on top of the water until Ruthie figured out she needed to use the Sculptor nozzle to squirt it out.

Victim's Family Says "Black Widow" Got Easy Way Out

COBB COUNTY, GA -- She was called the "Black Widow" after being convicted of poisoning two of her love interests. Monday morning she was found dead in a prison cell where she was spending the rest of her life behind bars.

Julia Lynn Turner became one of Atlanta's most celebrated killers when she was convicted of murdering her husband and a boyfriend.

The family of one of her victims, former Cobb County police officer Glenn Turner, said they have forgiven Lynn for what she did to Glenn. But they don't feel like justice has been served by her losing her life. "No I don't," said Glenn Turner's mother Kathy Turner. "But I'm happy I don't have to see her anymore in the news or in court or anywhere."

Asked if her death was some form of justice, James Turner said no, it wasn't. "Justice was her being there (in prison), living with this," said James Turner.

Republican Candidate for Governor Backtracks on "Open Mind" on Casinos

Atlanta, GA (AP)-- Republican gubernatorial hopeful Nathan Deal is backpedaling on casinos after at least one prominent Christian
conservative activist called to voice concerns.
Deal created a stir when he said earlier this month that he was
willing to keep an "open mind" about the possibility of casinos
in Georgia. This week, Deal spokesman Brian Robinson said the
former congressman from Gainesville "personally opposes casino
gambling" and doesn't believe they're the best way to spur the
state's economy. Robinson wouldn't say whether Deal would sign a
veto a casino bill if one landed on his desk.
The campaign of Deal's opponent, Democrat Roy Barnes, said
Deal's waffling shows he "is too unsteady for the job" of
governor.
