Alpharetta resident Ellen Feldman is carefully planning her Black Friday shopping trip.

"Walmart first, then Target second,  we may go to Best Buy and I want to hit Staples," she said.

Feldman shops the Black Friday sales every year,  right after cleaning up from Thanksgiving dinner.   "It's a family thing;  my daughter comes home from Vanderbilt and  we stay up all night," she said.

Feldman prints out the adscans she find on fbads.net and circles the items she's interested in, then plans her strategy. "I don't go to the stores where people bring lawn chairs and sit outside all night; no deal is worth that," she said.

Instead, Feldman, her daughter, brother, sister in law, neice and nephew go to Walmart first.

The reason?  "Walmart is open 24 hours so you don't have to wait outside in the cold for the sale to start.  They have the doorbuster items roped off so we each grab a cart and wait in a different line till the sale starts at 5am," she said.

Here are Feldman's top picks for Black Friday deals:

Target: Westinghouse 40 Inch Flat Screen TV, 60Hz, 1080p for $298.00.

TomTom 4.3 inch GPS xl335t System for $79.00

Walmart: eMachines 15.6 inch laptop $198.00

Best Buy: Topshiba Blu-ray Player for $59.99

HH Gregg: LG Blue-ray Player for $59.99
GE Washer and Dryer for $599.99

Feldman enjoys the great deals on Black Friday but also the atmosphere.   "I love people watching in the stores; it's hilarious," she laughed.

But she admits the experience can be a bit daunting. "One year my nephew had to save me from getting hit in the head with a television," she said.

Feldman said she thinks this year's Black Friday deals offer about the same discounts  as last year.   She said the top deals are on TV's, Washers and Dryers and other electronics.  She doesn't shop for clothes on Black Friday because she says she can find clothing clearance sales all year round.
