Developer Liquidation Sale in Cumming
News

An emplty Walmart store in Cumming has been transformed into a huge liquidation sale to sell off home furnishings that were once destined for model homes.

Atlanta Antique and Estate Liquidations President Judy Friedman said a developer, who's name is not being released, is selling the items to cut costs.

"This is the equivalent of about 40 model homes of furnture," said Friedman. Friedman said the real estate bust has developers selling homes at rock bottom prices, so they are often foregoing decorating model homes.

Most of the furniture, art and rugs is new and deeply discounted. "Anywhere from 50 to 80 percent or more," said Friedman. Some of the best deals are on silk flower arrangements,   plants and art.

The sale will be held Wednesdays through Sundays through October 24th at 131 Market Square in Cumming. That's at the intersection of Highway 9 and Hutchinson Road. (Exit 14 off GA 400.) Hours are 10am-5pm Daily and Sunday Noon-5pm.  The stores shares space with a flooring liqudator and is next door to the Goodwill Store.
