Hundreds of Residents Attend Vice Chair’s Annual Budget Update

More than 300 Fulton County residents gathered at the Harriett G. Darnell Senior Multipurpose Facility on Tuesday, September 13 to hear from Board of Commissioners Vice Chair Emma I. Darnell and to receive updates regarding Fulton County’s budget outlook.

Vice Chair Darnell’s Annual Update meeting focused on, “Who Pays, Who Benefits?” and focused on County services and the budget. County Manager Zachary L. Williams provided the residents an update about the County’s financial outlook and service updates.  Residents had the opportunity to participate in an exercise that stated their own budget priorities. They also asked questions and made comments.

Residents touched on a wide range of topics including Grady, youth programs, transportation, environmental programs, and much more.
