3 North Fulton high schools invited to Midwest Clinic
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Three high schools in North Fulton County have been invited to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic.
Musical groups from Alpharetta High, Chattahoochee High and Johns Creek High will travel to Chicago for the clinic next week.
"This is unprecedented," Jessica Booth, fine arts coordinator for the Fulton County School System, said in a statement. "Never in the Midwest Clinic's history have three schools been selected from one district in the same year."
The Alpharetta High School Symphony will perform Dec. 19, while the Chattahoochee Chamber Orchestra and the Johns Creek Philharmonia Orchestra are scheduled to perform Dec. 21. Selections include new works, as well as masterworks by such greats as Mozart, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn and Grieg.
