Goo Goo Dolls, Michelle Branch Make Interesting Night of Tunes

Goo Goo Dolls, Michelle Branch Make Interesting Night of Tunes

Goo Goo Dolls took to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater stage Sunday, August 7, along with Michelle Branch and Parachute.

Parachute took the stage first and played their original songs as well as the cover, "One Headlight" by the Wallflowers.

Michelle Branch started off with "Everywhere", her first major label hit. The single was from The Spirit Room and a majority of her set list consisted from this album. She did a good job at blending her new songs with her more recognizable ones. The Goo Goo Dolls had less seamless transitions between their songs but still provided a memorable set.

First, the Goos rolled out their 1998 hit, "Slide" that brought the crowd to their feet.

The Goos swayed away from their adult contemporary hits when bassist and vocalist, Robby Takac, took the lead on several, fast paced, more punk infused songs.
