Texas entertainment concept headed for Ga.

DALLAS, Texas -- A Texas chain of family entertainment centers is expanding into Georgia.

Dallas-based Main Event Entertainment, which offers bowling, billiards, laser tag, arcades and several dining options, recently announced six new locations.

Two are planned in Georgia: in Atlanta and Alpharetta. Each venue would be 45,000 to 75,000 square feet, according to a Jan. 30 announcement.

Main Event currently has 12 locations in Texas and one in Arizona. It hopes to grow to 19 locations by 2015. Other new locations are planned for Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla.; Pharr, Texas; and a second location in San Antonio, Texas.

"Our 'Eat.Bowl.Play' brand of family entertainment has experienced tremendous success in recent years, enough so that we're expanding beyond Texas into new markets," Charlie Keegan, CEO of Main Event Entertainment, said in an announcement. "We're excited to grow our successful family entertainment centers throughout the U.S."
