My clientele are elitists. They want the best, they deserve the best and they want to be kept in the know about the best of the best! I pride myself on locating and offering just that! Imagine a country club for people who live in the FAST lane! Well, the great thing is you don’t have to imagine…it’s here!

Just once, wouldn’t it be great to open it up on a beautiful stretch of immaculate pavement and see what it can do {“It” is your fast car}? No radar detectors needed, no looking for speed traps or in your rear view mirror. Imagine driving in a safe , controlled environment where the only limits are your driving skills, your nerve, and your car’s capabilities!

Local Company on Short List for Privatizing GA Rest Stops

ALPHARETTA -- Two teams of road maintenance and advertising companies are competing for a contract to manage Georgia's highway rest areas and welcome centers.

The Georgia Department of Transportation announced a short list of bidders for the contract Friday. Vying for the work are the team of DBi Services of Hazleton, Pa., and The InterConnect Group Inc. of Alpharetta; and the team of Nashville, Tenn.-based Infrastructure Corp. of America and TravelersMarketing of Wellesley, Mass.

The DOT is looking to privatize the operation of the state's 17 rest areas and nine welcome centers as a cost-cutting move.

The agency was spending about $4.5 million a year until fiscal 2008 on janitorial and landscaping for the facilities. But after the recession hit, the DOT reduced upkeep and closed two of the rest areas.

FDIC Sues Georgia Sen. Jack Murphy Among Others

ATLANTA -- It was one of the first major bank failures in Georgia -- the faith-based Integrity Bank in Alpharetta.

On its board before it collapsed in 2008 was a top ranking State Senator, Jack Murphy. He has a direct connection to the banking industry.

The Cumming Republican is chairman of the State Senate Banking and Finance Committee, a powerful group setting banking laws in Georgia.

The FDIC is now suing State Sen. Murphy, along with 7 others, who are accused of floating more than $70 million in development and construction loans that all went bust when the bank went under -- costing the bank millions.

The FDIC claims that the loans violated Georgia lending limits and loan policies and showed acts of negligence, gross negligence and breaches of fiduciary responsibility.
