ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- The region champion Alpharetta High School lacrosse team has celebrated its successful season by doing good for others.

Earlier this year, the AHS Raiders decided to raise money for a local company for their senior legacy philanthrophy project. Together, the young men collected $4,690.40 for Hal's Drive Thru.

Run by Hal Vernier and his wife Nancye, Hal's Drive Thru is an Alpharetta-based 501(c)(3) organization that serves hot food to local residents in need. Learn more about this worthwhile cause at halsdrivethru.org.

Lacrosse players raised the money by soliciting pledges for every goal scored during the season. They presented the Verniers with an oversize check during Friday's game.
