Alpharetta shooting suspect arrested

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- The suspect accused of shooting a man at an Alpharetta townhouse complex last week has been arrested.

Timothy C. Pierce was taken into custody on Oct. 1, according to Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesman George Gordon.

The suspect is accused of shooting a man in a parking lot at the Planter's Ridge townhouse neighborhood off Cumming Highway on Sept. 24.

Pierce has been charged with possession of a knife during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and four counts of aggravated battery. He is being held without bond in the Fulton County Jail.

Police looking for driver who hit woman

ROSWELL, Ga. -- The Roswell Police Department is working to identify a driver who hit a woman on Ga. 400 and then drove away.

The accident happened at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday near Holcomb Bridge Road.

Roswell Police Officer Lisa Holland said David Neil Howell and his sister, 28-year-old Sarah Howell, were riding a motorcycle north on Ga. 400 when the bike clipped a median wall.

Both victims were thrown from the motorcycle. Sarah Howell, of Alpharetta, was hit by a car and killed. David Howell, who was driving, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. He was released Monday morning and promptly arrested; charges include DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and vehicular homicide.

Alpharetta Waffle House robbed

Alpharetta Waffle House robbed

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- A north Fulton County Waffle House was reportedly robbed Monday morning.

Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesman George Gordon said the Waffle House is located on South Main Street. No one was injured in the robbery, which happened at around 5:15 a.m.

No other details were immediately available.

Alpharetta woman arrested for killing ex-husband

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- A 48-year-old Alpharetta woman is behind bars Friday for fatally shooting her ex-husband.

Jennifer Pugh is being held without bond in the Fulton County Jail.

Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesman George Gordon said Pugh is accused of shooting 52-year-old Brian Pugh at a home on Serenity Court Thursday evening.

Brian Pugh was shot multiple times, Gordon said. He was taken to North Fulton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There was no immediate word on a motive in the shooting.

ATLANTA -- A Swainsboro man was sentenced Monday to seven years and three months in federal prison for selling millions of dollars' worth of stolen property on eBay.

Robert A. Hill, 51, obtained all his merchandise from a group of identity thieves who bought the expensive items with fraudulent credit cards in their victims' names, according to information presented in court.

"Robert Hill fueled his Internet-based fraud with the help of a group of identity thieves who gave him a steady supply of merchandise," U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said in a statement. Suspects arrested in Milton murder

MILTON, Ga. -- Milton police have arrested three men suspected of shooting and killing 19-year-old Christopher Walker on Mar. 12.

Richard Davidson, 20, of Roswell; Michael Grant, 23, of Roswell; and Matthew Goins, 20, of Alpharetta are being held without bond in the Fulton County Jail.

Walker was shot to death in the driveway of his home on Silhouette Court. Milton police said investigators believe the suspects spotted Walker's gold chain at an Alpharetta Taco Bell and decided to follow him home.

All three suspects face charges of murder, aggravated assault and attempted robbery. Davidson also faces two firearm possession charges.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Police have arrested the second man accused of killing Zachary Rose in Alpharetta in January.

Shane Demetrice Woods was arrested Tuesday evening in DeKalb County, according to Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesman George Gordon.

Woods was wanted in connection with Rose's Jan. 28 death. The 22-year-old Canton man was shot while answering the door at a friend's condo.

The first suspect, 22-year-old Jerad Owens, was arrested Jan. 31 and has been in the Fulton County Jail ever since.
