ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- NBA All-Star Dikembe Mutombo will be the keynote speaker at the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce's next Eggs & Enterprise breakfast.

Mutombo, a former center for the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks, has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for people in his native Democratic Republic of the Congo. Additionally, Mutombo has worked for international relief agency CARE and was actively involved with the Strong STARTS (Schools Taking Action to Reach Troubled Students) program when he played for the Hawks. He was inducted into the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame in 2007.

Mutombo is now retired from professional basketball. A Georgetown University graduate, he speaks several languages fluently -- English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and five African dialects. Mutombo and wife Rose have six children.
