School board announces April community meetings

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Each member of the Fulton County Board of Education sponsors a monthly meeting open to all members of the community.

The sessions provide an opportunity for direct contact with community members and give board members a chance to listen to local issues and concerns.

Board members have set the following meeting dates for April:

District 1 (Linda Schultz)
Tuesday, Apr. 19 at 9:30 a.m.
Crabapple Middle School (10700 Crabapple Road, Roswell, 30075)

District 2 (Katie Reeves)
Tuesday, Apr. 19 at 9:30 a.m.
Crabapple Crossing Elementary School (12775 Birmingham Highway, Milton, 30004)

District 3 (Gail Deal)
Dean will attend Superintendent finalist Robert Avossa's community meeting on Tuesday, Apr. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Westlake High School and invites District 3 citizens to attend as well; she will be available at the conclusion of the meeting to discuss school board items and any other business

District 4 (Linda Bryant)
Monday, Apr. 18 at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Apr. 19 at 1 p.m.

Fulton County Board of Education members have hosted these community meetings for a number of years and are believed to be one of the few school boards in the country to use such a process for gathering input.
