Fulton County Seeks Resident Input Regarding Transportation Projects for Unincorporated Fulton
Fulton County residents are invited to attend a series of upcoming community meetings to provide input regarding transportation projects for unincorporated Fulton County.
Meetings are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, June 26, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Cliftondale Community Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park
- Thursday, June 28, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Burdett Park, 2945 Burdett Park, College Park
- Tuesday, July 10, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Southwest Library, 3665 Southwest Library, Atlanta
- Thursday, July 12, 6:30 p.m. – 8: 30 p.m. – Renaissance Middle School, 7155 Hall Road, Fairburn
The purpose of the meetings will be to discuss transportation needs in unincorporated Fulton County and to develop a project list for consideration by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
On Tuesday, July 31, 2012, an election will be held which will include a referendum on a transportation sales tax. If voters approve the referendum, 15% of total revenue generated would be allocated to local governments for projects within their jurisdictions.
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners has not taken a position regarding the Transportation Sales Tax Referendum.
