LONDON -- Karyn Greer and Chesley McNeil have been keeping busy on the first day of the 2012 London Olympics.

The 11Alive morning show duo began their London adventure by learning how to navigate the London Underground, casually known as the Tube, which is arguably the most efficient way to get around the city.

Later, they hopped aboard the London Eye for a bird's-eye view of the city.

Big Wiz, London's version of the WIZometer, is also enjoying the trip. The Big Ben-shaped WIZometer has popped up in a number of photos since arriving in London.

The much-anticipated opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics will air on 11Alive at 7:30 p.m. Some of the most popular events are right around the corner, including swimming, track & field and gymnastics.
Before leaving for London, Karyn stopped by Southern Elite Gymnastics in Alpharetta to learn all about the sport from some young gymnasts.
