Man stabbed several times during break-in | News
CANTON, Ga. -- Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man who allegedly attacked and stabbed his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend.
Deputies arrived at the home of 24-year-old Kimberly Thomas in the Woodmont subdivision at around 1:30 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, they found 24-year-old Graham Royal with multiple stab wounds to his face and back.
Royal was visiting Thomas at her house, according to deputies.
Thomas and Royal told deputies that Thomas' ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Donald Judson Moran, broken into the home and attacked Royal with a knife.
Royal was taken to Northside Cherokee Hospital, where he is now in stable condition.
Deputies arrested Moran at his home off East Cherokee Drive shortly after the stabbing. While conducting a search warrant, deputies found a knife which they believed was used in the attack on Royal.
Moran is now being held at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center on $35,000 bond. He is charged with aggravated assault and burglary.
