WASHINGTON -- A metro Atlanta pastor used a morning church service to counsel President Barack Obama.

Pastor Andy Stanley of North Point Ministries delivered Monday morning's sermon at St. John's Episcopal Church across from the White House. The president attended with his family before taking the oath of office for his second term.

During his sermon, Stanley asked what one should do when they realize they are the most powerful person in the room. His answer was to leverage that power for others.

To the president, Stanley said: "Mr. President you have an awfully big room."

Stanley is no stranger to big rooms himself, pastoring more than 30,000 people through North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Buckhead Church, Gwinnett Church in Duluth, Watermarke Church in Canton and Browns Bridge Community Church in Cumming.

St. John's regular rector, Rev. Luis León, will deliver the benediction at the president's inauguration Monday. He was chosen for the honor after Pastor Lou Giglio of Atlanta's Passion City Church pulled out.
