Fulton County to conduct special election for Georgia House District 50

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. -- A special election will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 to fill a vacancy in State House District 50. The election for Georgia House District 50 will occur at select City of Johns Creek precincts.

Early voting will be held Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Jan. 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Johns Creek Environmental Campus, 8100 Holcomb Bridge Road.

Saturday voting will be held Dec. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Early voting locations will be closed for holidays on December 24, 25, and January 1.

On Jan. 6, polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the following precinct locations:

Citizens must have been registered to vote by Monday, Dec. 8 to participate in the special election. Voter registration forms can be obtained at the county registrar’s office or from the Secretary of State’s website: www.sos.ga.gov/elections.

This is a non-partisan special election with no party primaries. However, each candidate’s party affiliation, if any, will be listed on the ballot. Run-off elections, if needed, will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
