Alpharetta police searching for attempted robbers who pepper-sprayed victims

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is seeking the public's assistance identifying attempted robbery suspects.

On April 29, an attempted robbery happened at the Marriott hotel on Windward Parkway in the Alpharetta. Around 8:30 p.m., a family was loading their vehicle at the front entrance with leftover jewelry after hosting a jewelry show event at the hotel.

While loading their vehicle, a black newer model Toyota 4-Runner backed-up to the rear of the victim's vehicle. Captured security video shows a black male driver and passenger exiting the Toyota.

One of the suspects walked over and pepper sprayed the family members as they loaded the vehicle. The other suspect stole suitcases.

While attempting the robbery, a fight ensued between the victims and the suspects.

WATCH THE ENTIRE ATTEMPTED ROBBERY:

An elderly female victim fought back and retook a suitcase. A male victim fought with the passenger suspect and eventually ripped off his hooded shirt.

The suspects quickly got back into their vehicle and fled the area. Alpharetta police officers responded to the scene but the suspects had already fled the area.

Alpharetta authorities are asking the public for help in identifying the suspects or for any information which may help aid the investigation.
