Tech men tied for fourth after NCAA regionals opening round
TALLAHASSEE -- Anders Albertson continued his recent hot streak by firing a 6-under-par 66, lifting Georgia Tech into a tie for fourth place after the opening round of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional golf tournament.
In near perfect weather conditions Thursday at the 6,965-yard, par 72 Golden Eagle Golf and Country Club, Albertson turned in a bogey-free card and stands one shot off the pace set by MJ Maguire of North Florida (65). The Atlantic Coast Conference individual champion has broken 70 in seven of his last eight rounds.
