The New York Butcher Shoppe is helping aspiring BBQ Pitmasters show their stuff at the Atlanta Bar-B-Q Festival by sponsoring the Backyard Division’s cooking competition on Saturday, October 1.  The Backyard Division allows amateur cooks to compete alongside the pros for prizes and is open to anyone who wants to participate.

ADOPT A PET: Meet Noah

ADOPT A PET: Meet Noah

ATLANTA - If you dream of coming home to a wet nose, wagging tail and tons of kisses (in addition to, perhaps, a half-chewed shoe or an overturned trashcan) adopt a puppy from your local Humane Society. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million domesticated animals enter animal shelters nationwide, every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. However, you can change those numbers by adopting a "companion" for yourself or for your family. Pets are an investment but, in our opinion, an investment well worth the money.

According to the Atlanta Humane Society, Noah is a sweet, young and playful puppy. Noah is almost a year old, he’s a Labrador retriever mix. Noah will be happiest in a home without young children and he needs lots of attention. This dog will benefit from obedience training and socialization with other dogs and people; perhaps at a park or a play date.

"We continue to offer a dining experience that meets the changing tastes and needs of our loyal patrons, so it is no surprise to see this important achievement," said Christi Estis, director of operations for Subway Development of Atlanta. "We could not have reached this milestone without the dedication of our model franchisees and employees.
