According to some, MF Sushibar is the “best sushi restaurant in the city, hands down”. Although many complain that the sushi is pricey, according to, a number of, Yelp reviewers the quality of the sushi can’t be beat in the Atlanta area. In addition to the actual sushi, restaurant goers enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant more than anything. The restaurant has a location in Buckhead and in the Old Fourth Ward. The restaurant is located at 265 Ponce de Leon Avenue in Atlanta.

WEEKEND EVENTS: Art Walks, 5K's and Street Fests

ATLANTA – There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

Come out to the Taste of the Highlands, tickets sales end on May 13 at noon but the festival starts on Saturday, May 14 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Highlands. This year, participants can enjoy local favorites like La Travola, Murphy’s, El Taco, Atkins Parks, Rosebud, DBA Barbecue, Goin’ Costal and Barefoot Wine. For more information visit them online.

The Kirkwood Spring Fling and Tour of Homes/5K Road Race will begin on Saturday, May 14 and continue until May 15. This is Kirkwood’s ninth annual festival; the festival features an open air artist market, a concert, a children’s area, food vendors and plenty of fellowship with neighbors. Check out the Victorian style homes and modern bungalows.

Locals love White House Restaurant, the restaurant which is located in Buckhead is an independently owned Greek-American diner. The place is tiny and easy to miss but diners love this restaurant for its quirky feel. The restaurant serves omlettes, pancakes, sandwiches and other Greek fare; however, people love their breakfast menu, above all. The restaurant is open from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. It’s located at 3172 Peachtree Road in Buckhead.

Ria’s Bluebird which is located in the Grant Park neighborhood is a favorite among the Atlanta’s inTown crowd. Their popular dishes include: Fish and Grits, the Bluebird Burrito and the Southwest Tofu Scramble. The restaurant is located near the King Memorial Marta station.

Happy Mother's day to all the wonderful mothers out there! I hope everyone has an awesome, relaxing day surrounded by family, friends, and of course - food!

Now on to today's post :) For Cinco de Mayo,  my friend Jon suggested we try Taco Azteca in the Kennesaw area since we were unwilling to deal with the craziness of another Mexican restaurant called Los Reyes which was not far from Azteca. I'm glad Jon made this suggestion because the patio area was surrounded by drunk people who were falling over and were just obnoxious really. Plus, the local Carl Black dealership had vehicles parked right outside of the action.

WEEKEND EVENTS: Atlanta Gives Back, Pet Parade, Dead Prez

ATLANTA – There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

Join 11Alive and the Atlanta Humane Society for the 21st Annual Pet Parade on Saturday, May 7. The parade starts at Piedmont Park at 11:00 a.m. and features 11Alive’s own, John Gerard and Chesley McNeil as the Grand Marshalls. Registration for pets starts at 9:00 a.m. and the event ends around 1:00 p.m. Registration for a pet and a parent is $35, on Saturday morning. Piedmont Park is located at 1071 Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta.

Revolutionary hip-hop duo, Dead Prez will headline a concert at Masquerade on Friday, May 6. The two-some, composed of stic.man and M-1 are known for their “raw” and “in-your-face” style of lyricism.
