ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Avalon, a new mixed-use project coming to Alpharetta, is counting down the days until it breaks ground.
Demolition and site work will begin Jan. 28, according to the project's Facebook page.
The old parking structure will be "history," says the post. The project's Twitter feed is going so far as to ask people how it should be done: "Should we use a wrecking ball or excavator? You vote."
Avalon is a $600 million development planned at Ga. 400 and Old Milton Parkway.
Phase One will include 389,000 square feet of retail, 250 multi-family units, 101 single-family units and 83,000 square feet of office space, according to previous reports.
