Woman wins lottery, again

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- An Alpharetta woman recently won the lottery for the second time.

Susan Armstrong-Clark won a $20,000 prize playing the Georgia Lottery instant game $400,000 Grant.

This is the second big win for the 64 year old. Armstrong-Clark took home a $5,000 prize playing the instant game Jumbo Jumbo Bucks in 2010.

"I used it for renovations and a ski trip," she said.

Armstrong-Clark purchased both her winning tickets from Publix stores in Alpharetta.

"I feel pretty darn good," she said while picking up her second prize at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth. "It was a very lucky pick."

She does not have any immediate plans for her winnings.

MODA offers tips on caring for area rugs

MODA offers tips on caring for area rugs

By Janice Howell, vice president, MODA Floors & Interiors, www.ModaFloorsandInteriors.com

Area rugs need the same attention and consistent maintenance as your carpeting, ceramic tile or hardwood flooring. Knowing what’s expected of you regarding their upkeep can be a determining factor in the type of rugs you purchase.

Although a handmade rug is a work of art, it’s made to be walked on. So are all machine-made rugs. With usage, as the top layers of pile break, (in most cases wool), the pile looks shinier and smoother, and with light exposure the colors look more harmonious.

Here are a few steps to make sure that your area rug ages gracefully, naturally and beautifully.
