LOCAL PROFILE: NFL Linebacker Rennie Curran

LILBURN -- Former Brookwood High School football standout, Rennie Curran is patiently waiting for a new jersey. Over the past two years, Curran went from the University of Georgia to LP Field in Nashville and now he's back at home.

Curran was released shortly after this year's NFL pre-season, despite leading the team in tackles during the pre-season.

Since being cut, Curran has been training at Catalyst and other gyms to ensure that when he does get a call, he wont miss a step. Curran is pretty confident he'll be wearing someone's jersey soon.

Roswell 5th Grade White Hornets Sting Alpharetta Eagles

Roswell 5th Grade White Hornets Sting Alpharetta Eagles

Saturday was a perfect day for football; with little wind and blue skies Roswell’s White Hornets took the field against Alpharetta’s Green Eagles, winning 28-7.

The hard hitting game yielded yet another win for the White Hornets fifth grade football team, which is expected to go all the way this year.

So far, in four games, the White Hornets have averaged 235 yards and 4 touch downs per game while holding their opponents to just one once touchdown each.

During this Saturday's game, Roswell’s Sam Antona - a first time player - blocked a punt against the Eagles. Antona work ethic and contribution has earn him the starting defensive end position.

Even though it’s his first year, Sam’s contribution has been substantial and his continual improvement has exemplified the White Hornets motto: Day by Day – Better and Better.

Top Tour Money Winners Help Make Big Moment

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. - Luke Donald and Charles Howell III are in the running for prize money running into the millions at the Tour Championship Presented by Coca Cola this week.

But before they hit the ball at Eastlake, they were a big hit earlier in the week with a young player just beginning competitive golf.  Donald, ranked number one in the world, and Howell were both in town a bit early for an outing on behalf of their club sponsor Mizuno.

But they also took the time to share some thoughts with 12 year old Manny Wignall.  The young Atlantan just took up the game about a year ago. Mizuno and 11 Alive arranged to surprise Manny with a new set of clubs as a Random Act of Kindness.
