Alpharetta PAL Plans Scare Fair, Haunted House

ALPHARETTA, GA -- A community haunted house will open its creaky doors in downtown Alpharetta on Friday, Oct. 29 and Saturday, Oct. 30, when the Alpharetta Police Athletic League (PAL) converts its gym into a spooky scare zone.

On Friday, the haunted house (50 Jones Avenue, Alpharetta, 30009) will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., as police officers and firefighters dress up to deliver frights. Concessions will be available for a nominal fee.

On Saturday, the event will begin at 4:00 p.m. with outdoor activities, including a moonwalk, a cookout, cotton candy, popcorn and more. Patrons may also try their hand at some challenging carnival games.

A Halloween costume contest for two different age groups will begin at 6:00 p.m., so patrons are encouraged to wear their cutest, scariest or most original costumes for a chance to win one of six cash prizes.

The haunted house will reopen on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and remain open until 11:00 p.m.

Goody bags will be given to the first 300 children who visit the haunted house on both nights. Admission is $2 per person; children ages six and under get in free.

All proceeds from the haunted house will help support PAL programs. Alpharetta PAL is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit community-based outreach organization created to provide a variety of services to the youth of North Fulton County while establishing a bond of mutual respect, understanding and trust with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

For more information on PAL or the haunted house, call Officer Laurie Nicholson at 678-297-6309.
