Atlanta Wind Symphony Honors the Greatest Generation

ROSWELL, GA -- The Atlanta Wind Symphony is pleased to announce the first concert of the 2010-2011 Master Season. This concert will be a "Tribute to the Greatest Generation," with a program honoring the men and women who grew up in the Great Depression, ended a war and rebuilt America into a superpower.

As a special gift to honor our veterans, tickets to the event will be free for everyone, so bring the entire family -- grandparents and children. The concert will feature several familiar selections from these historic times, closing with a Big Band finale that will have everyone humming all the way home.

Embarking on its 32nd season, the AWS is internationally respected for its continued musical excellence, contribution to music education and service to the community.

The Tribute to the Greatest Generation will be on Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forest Street, Roswell, 30075) at 3:00 p.m. A sneak preview will take place on Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Alpharetta First United Methodist Church (69 North Main Street, Alpharetta, 30009) at 3:00 p.m.
